Declared-evidence live qualification (2026-08-08)

Warning

This records a run from 2026-08-08 and shows the output shape of that date, not the current one. The annotations below carry a per-paragraph provenance label (evidence_linked or model_interpretation) and JSON-pointer citations into the evidence document. scene-report-output.v4, which the code emits now, has neither: a paragraph is {"text": ..., "hypothesis": true|false}, where hypothesis carries the distinction the two provenance labels used to make, and per-claim citations are gone.

The prose and the emitter tables are unaltered and still show what declared-evidence grounding produces, which is why the page is retained rather than rewritten: editing recorded output to match a newer schema would make it no longer a record. For the shape a run produces today, see the store-source scale evidence (retired with that route) or the scene-report-output.v4 contract.

Genuine, unedited output from the manually approved 2026-08-08 live qualification of scene_report.declared.v1 on all three execution routes, run only through rfgen annotate submit/wait. Every example pairs a scene’s generator-declared emitters with the persisted annotation: component count equals declared emitter count (or shows the citable overflow marker), every numeric in the prose traces to a cited declared-evidence claim, and the narrative voice is inferential. The source dataset is 12 canonical scenes (TorchSig comms classes, 1-10 emitters per scene, AWGN, 2 MHz capture at a 3.5 GHz receiver center); emitter tables below are read from the same stored metadata the annotator used.

Run identities: the local HDF5 route (local_concurrent direct Gemini, gemini-3.1-flash-lite) contributed runs declared-live-a (12/12 succeeded, second submission idempotent) and declared-live-a-cap. The local Spark route (Vertex Batch, gemini-2.5-flash) contributed run declared-live-b4 (11/12 succeeded; one reply exceeded the local response contract and failed as its own per-request row, the designed containment for hosted nondeterminism). The Dataproc Serverless route (Vertex Batch, gemini-2.5-flash) contributed run declared-live-c3 (12/12 succeeded). The remote runs’ immutable request manifests, provider events, and JSONL sidecars are retained under gs://rfgen-e2e-409806686028-8a95942a34de/rfgen-live-tests/declared-evidence-20260808/.

Provider narrative (verbatim):

The scene contains two distinct 16QAM communications signals, both identified as 16QAM, occupying the capture window simultaneously. The first signal is observed at a frequency offset of approximately 603 kHz relative to the receiver center frequency, with an occupied bandwidth of approximately 200 kHz and an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/0/quantities/1, /components/0/quantities/2, /components/0/quantities/3)

The second 16QAM signal is observed at a frequency offset of approximately -330 kHz relative to the receiver center frequency. It also occupies approximately 200 kHz of bandwidth and exhibits an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. Both signals are present for the entire 0.001 s duration of the capture.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/1/quantities/1, /components/1/quantities/2, /components/1/quantities/3, /components/1/quantities/0)

The two signals exhibit complete temporal overlap throughout the capture duration, yet maintain total spectral isolation with a frequency overlap fraction of 0.0. This suggests the signals are operating in distinct sub-bands within the receiver’s instantaneous bandwidth, effectively avoiding co-channel interference.

Provider narrative (verbatim):

The scene contains five distinct communications signals, all present for the full 0.001 s duration of the capture. The signals are identified as a mix of 64QAM, 16QAM, and BPSK modulations, each occupying approximately 200 kHz of bandwidth. The spectral environment is characterized by significant co-channel and adjacent-channel interference, with multiple signals exhibiting partial spectral overlap.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/0/quantities/0, /components/0/quantities/2, /components/0/labels/1)

Component-0 is identified as a 64QAM signal centered at approximately -486 kHz relative to the receiver center frequency. It maintains an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. Component-1, also identified as 64QAM, is observed at a frequency offset of approximately 572 kHz with an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. Both signals exhibit high spectral isolation from most other components in the scene.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/0/quantities/1, /components/0/quantities/3, /components/1/quantities/1, /components/1/quantities/3)

Component-2 and Component-4 are both identified as 16QAM signals. Component-2 is centered at approximately -365 kHz, while Component-4 is located at approximately 605 kHz. Both signals exhibit an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. Component-2 shows significant spectral overlap with Component-0, while Component-4 experiences substantial spectral interference from Component-1, with an overlap fraction of approximately 0.837.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/2/quantities/1, /components/4/quantities/1, /interactions/1/quantities/1, /interactions/6/quantities/1)

Component-3 is identified as a BPSK transmission, centered at approximately -249 kHz relative to the receiver center frequency. It exhibits an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. The signal shows partial spectral overlap with Component-2, suggesting a complex interference environment for this BPSK emitter.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/3/quantities/1, /components/3/quantities/3, /interactions/7/quantities/1)

The observed SINR values for all components are significantly lower than their respective SNR values, ranging from approximately -3.02 dB to 0.113 dB. This discrepancy indicates that the spectral density of the aggregate interference is high, likely resulting from the dense packing of the 200 kHz bandwidth signals within the capture window.

Provider narrative (verbatim):

The scene contains ten distinct communication signals, all observed within a 1.00 ms capture window. The signals exhibit varying center frequencies and modulation types, including QPSK, 64QAM, 16QAM, and BPSK. Each signal occupies approximately 200 kHz of bandwidth.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/0/quantities/2, /components/1/quantities/2, /components/2/quantities/2, /components/3/quantities/2, /components/4/quantities/2, /components/5/quantities/2, /components/6/quantities/2, /components/7/quantities/2, /components/8/quantities/2, /components/9/quantities/2)

Component-0 is identified as a QPSK transmission centered near -157 kHz relative to the receiver center frequency. It exhibits an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. The signal is observed to overlap significantly with component-2 and component-9, indicating a congested spectral environment.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/0/labels/1, /components/0/quantities/1, /components/0/quantities/3, /interactions/1/quantities/1, /interactions/8/quantities/1)

Component-1, component-2, component-3, component-5, and component-9 are identified as 64QAM transmissions. These signals are distributed across the band, with offsets ranging from approximately -389 kHz to 262 kHz. The spectral proximity of these signals, particularly between component-1 and component-9, suggests a high-density multi-user environment.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/1/labels/1, /components/2/labels/1, /components/3/labels/1, /components/5/labels/1, /components/9/labels/1)

Component-4 and component-6 are identified as QPSK transmissions, while component-7 is identified as a BPSK transmission. Component-7 is notably isolated, with an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB and no significant spectral overlap with other components, suggesting a higher quality link compared to the congested 64QAM signals.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/4/labels/1, /components/6/labels/1, /components/7/labels/1, /components/7/quantities/3, /components/7/quantities/4)

The observed spectral congestion, characterized by multiple overlapping 64QAM and QPSK signals, suggests a complex interference scenario. The negative SINR values for most components indicate that the aggregate noise and interference floor is significantly higher than the individual signal power, likely impacting the effective throughput of these links.

Provider narrative (verbatim):

This capture contains six distinct communication signals, all observed within a 1.00 ms window. It is important to note that this report details only the six included components out of a larger declared total of ten signals.

(evidence_linked; cites /overflow)

Component-0 is identified as a 64QAM signal, occupying approximately 200 kHz of bandwidth. It is observed at a frequency offset of near 664 kHz relative to the receiver center frequency, with a reported SNR of 20.0 dB.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/0/labels/1, /components/0/quantities/2, /components/0/quantities/1, /components/0/quantities/3)

Component-1 is identified as a BPSK transmission, occupying approximately 200 kHz. It is centered near -387 kHz relative to the receiver center frequency. The signal exhibits an SNR of 20.0 dB.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/1/labels/1, /components/1/quantities/2, /components/1/quantities/1, /components/1/quantities/3)

Component-2 and Component-3 are both identified as QPSK signals, each occupying approximately 200 kHz. Component-2 is observed at an offset of near 87.5 kHz, while Component-3 is located near -481 kHz. Both signals maintain an SNR of 20.0 dB.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/2/labels/1, /components/3/labels/1, /components/2/quantities/2, /components/3/quantities/2, /components/2/quantities/1, /components/3/quantities/1, /components/2/quantities/3, /components/3/quantities/3)

Component-4 and Component-5 are identified as 64QAM and 16QAM signals, respectively, each with an occupied bandwidth of approximately 200 kHz. Component-4 is centered near 535 kHz, and Component-5 is centered near 613 kHz. Both signals report an SNR of 20.0 dB.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/4/labels/1, /components/5/labels/1, /components/4/quantities/2, /components/5/quantities/2, /components/4/quantities/1, /components/5/quantities/1, /components/4/quantities/3, /components/5/quantities/3)

The scene exhibits significant spectral congestion, as evidenced by the observed overlaps between several components. Specifically, Component-0 shows partial spectral overlap with Component-4 and Component-5, while Component-1 overlaps with Component-3. These interactions, combined with the negative SINR values reported for several signals, suggest a high-density environment where co-channel or adjacent-channel interference is likely degrading signal quality.

A highly congested region is observed in the positive frequency domain, featuring four distinct communication signals: Component-4 (64QAM) at approximately 535.3 kHz, Component-5 (16QAM) at about 613.1 kHz, Component-9 (64QAM) at near 653.2 kHz, and Component-0 (64QAM) at approximately 663.8 kHz. The estimated SINR values for these signals are notably low, ranging from -4.47 dB to -5.19 dB, indicating significant co-channel pressure.

(evidence_linked; cites /components/4/labels/1, /components/4/quantities/1, /components/5/labels/1, /components/5/quantities/1, /components/9/labels/1, /components/9/quantities/1, /components/0/labels/1, /components/0/quantities/1, /components/0/quantities/4, /components/4/quantities/4, /components/5/quantities/4, /components/9/quantities/4)

A highly congested spectral region is observed at positive frequency offsets. Component-0, identified as a 64QAM signal, is centered near 663.8 kHz with an occupied bandwidth of approximately 200 kHz and an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. It experiences significant frequency overlap (approximately 94.7%) with component-9, also identified as 64QAM and centered near 653.2 kHz. Component-0 also shows substantial overlap (approximately 74.7%) with component-5, identified as a 16QAM signal centered near 613.1 kHz. These high overlaps are consistent with the low estimated SINR values for these signals, which range from -4.47 dB to -5.19 dB.

Component-8, identified as a 16QAM signal, is located near -621.2 kHz and overlaps with component-3 by an estimated 29.7%. Component-7, a 64QAM signal at approximately -746.5 kHz, further contributes to the congestion, exhibiting an estimated 37.4% overlap with component-8. Both components share the approximate 200 kHz bandwidth and 20.0 dB SNR. Their estimated SINR values are approximately -3.08 dB for component-8 and -0.0841 dB for component-7, indicating significant interference.

Two QPSK signals, component-2 and component-6, are observed with similar spectral characteristics. Component-2 is centered near 87.48 kHz relative to the receiver, while component-6 is near 278.9 kHz. Both exhibit an occupied bandwidth of approximately 200 kHz and an estimated SNR of 20.0 dB. A minor frequency overlap of about 4.29% is noted between them. Their estimated SINR values, near -0.0334 dB and -0.0530 dB respectively, suggest some level of cumulative interference from other signals within the capture.
